Tartiflette
My family loves to cook and eat, especially my mom and my grandma. In France during the summers, we invite friends over for dinner. My mom and grandma spend all day making food for dinner. Everyone is always pleased with the delicious food. One dish that my mom makes is called tartiflette. The main ingredients are potatoes, reblochon cheese, and bacon. My mom always makes so much that we always have leftovers. This dish is important to my family because it is from a region in the Alps called Savoy which is near where we live. In France, food is a big part of the culture, we eat a lot of good meals with family and friends. Especially on holidays, we have a lot of people over with tons of good food. We often have a lot of people over for lunch or dinner and we always make good food. Our guests always bring food as well, and it is always good. This dish will always be in my family because of our French side. My mom is usually the one who makes it because my mom has food that she's good at making and my grandma has other foods that she's better at making. Whoever makes it, it always turns out good and yummy. This dish is a very traditional dish from Savoy in the Alps, and in France in general. There are three other traditional foods from Savoy that we eat a lot, like fondue and raclette. All three of these dishes have good cheese and it is always good.
