My mother and I spoke about my school assignment. She gave me a variety of objects to share with my teacher and classmates.  I chose family pictures. I decided to take the pictures to class because I was so small when the pictures were taken. And my brother wasn’t even born then.  In the pictures it’s me, my mother, father, my big brother, my aunts, my uncles, and my 2 grandmothers. We took these photos when we were back in Uzbekistan, like a few weeks, maybe even months before we left!
Actually after looking at the pictures I knew the type of clothing people wore in Uzbekistan and still wear.  This is the kind of tradition that I learned from this assignment. Also,I learned  how my home looked like back then in my country.  I learned that my family came here in 2008 when I was 5 months!!
This picture is precious to us because we left our country soon after we took this picture.  That means my family don’t have new memories about Uzbekistan because we have not been back to our country since 2008.
If you look closely at the picture you can see that women cover their heads and so do the men in my country.  It is a tradition that they follow in Uzbekistan.  This is the reason why this picture is important because it helps me know how people live in my country.
