Family Bible

The reason I chose the Bible as my object of choice is because religion has been a big factor in the history of my family, specifically Christianity. Ever since I can remember I have always attended church with, specifically, my dad, while my mother was not as interested.. My father also showed me the importance of donating and helping people in the best way we could. We were never very prominent figures in the church, but we still help with setting up baptisms, attending them, and even helping baptize people. I've always enjoyed reading the Bible. I find the stories and the language intriguing. I read to understand and ask questions even if I might not get immediate answers.I understand that people feel strongly towards certain religions, and part of the reason I seek understanding is so that someday I can help others learn with an open mind and an open heart. This Bible holds extra significance because it was passed down to me from my Great-Grandmother. Some parts of this Bible have been lost over time, such as the family tree, but it is still very special to our family. I still have a long way to go before I can fully understand the Bible myself, but the importance it holds to my family and our heritage makes me want to continue to strive for a deeper understanding.
