Important family traditions of food preparation is very important to my culture. My dad first came to this country when he was around 25. He has always loved traveling and exploring the world. While coming across the United States as parts of travels, he decided this was the place he wanted to settle in. He made sure to make many trips back home to see his family and friends. While making these trips back home, he met my mom. After a while they got married and moved her together. My 2 sisters and I were all born here in NJ. While m family has lived here for like 20 years, we still carry all of our family traditions and culture. My mom and dad still cook our favorite dishes from Egypt into our everyday lives. Egyptian food consists of many flavors and spices. I am very proud of my culture and I hope to keep the traditions going.
