Mashed Mangú is a Dominican dish that is made from plantain. It is a beige color and it is has the texture of mashed potatoes. My dad told me about this food. The occasion it is used for Dominican Republic Independence. It is important to me because it is part of my heritage. It connects to my culture and identity because my dad is Dominican.                         Mashed mangu is made out of. . .                       Green  Plantain         Spices :  salt , vegetable Bouillon         Vinegar           Onions           canola  oil 1:Boil green plantains until soft. 2:mash the plantains after draining the water. 3:saute onions in vinegar ,Bouillon and oil ,in a separate pan. 3:Serve mangú on a plate and add the sauteed onions on the top of the mangú.     So now you know how to make Mashed mangú!!!!!!!!!!!!
