This image is a picture of my grandfather, David Ardis McLean. He was born and raised in Newtownhamilton, Armagh, Northern Ireland. He set out for New Orleans in 1916, where he became a Veterinarian. He was married three times, and had a son with first wife and a daughter (my mother) with his third wife, Rita Muller. He had a bit of a reputation as a drinker and a gambler on horseraces. He died at the age of 44 on August 20, 1929 of a ruptured ulcer in his stomach, possibly linked to alcoholism.
