In 1963 my grandparents came to the U.S. They were comming from Germany, however they had lived all over Europe. While coming to the states they brought with them a Crucifix. This gave them much courage. The Crucifix is made of metal with a gold painting on top of it. The states gave them great opportunities and it was the perfect place to start a new family. My grandparents ended up in Modesto, Ca. They took a road trip as a way to get away from Ca; they drove through Oklahoma and fell in love. Eversince Oklahoma has been thier home. I recently recieved the Crucifix, I hope it will give me courage in my life.
