Candle Holders
These are two candle holders. They are made of brass. They are used to hold candles. This object came from Poland. My grandmother told me about these candle holders. I do not know exactly how old these candle holders are, but I know they are at least 100 years old because my great, great grandparents Sam and Bessie brought them to America and came to America in 1908. The story behind them is that Sam and Bessie brought them from Poland when they immigrated to America. My family still uses these candle holders. We use them for every Jewish holiday. That is part of the reason why these candle holders are significant to my family. They are significant to my family because we still use them, we use them for every Jewish holiday and they have been passed down through many generations. This object shows and represents my family's Jewish heritage and reminds us of all of a long time ago when my great, great grandparents Sam and Bessie immigrated from Poland.
