A croissant

My Dad is French and my mom is American. Every year for Christmas and the new year grandma and grandpa on my dad's side comes over to visit. They always bring homemade french food like cheese Baguettes and croissants. Sometimes we make them ourselves. One particular Christmas when I was 8, we decided that this year was a year where we made everything ourselves. It was my first time helping out and I didn’t have complete control. I was trying to make my own croissants but I mixed some ingredients that I wasn’t supposed to and we baked it. When we took it out of the oven, it was looking like the same one that we made from last year. But when we tried we all thought it was so much better and now we do that every year. We learned that crunchy croissants are better than the soft flaky ones. When we made the batch again we added chocolate and butter inside and they were great, and I felt like the king of the world.
