Light soft sugar cookie

This sugar cookie recipe has been passed down from generation to generation from my moms side. My mother has it, my grandmother has it, her grandmother has it and so on. This recipe has been used since my family made their sail across the pond from Germany. These  little treats are tasty, and a staple in my household around Christmastime. We would make them into fun little shapes, and add fun icing on it. But I always loved the cookie more than the icing. My mother did too. Whenever I go to my grandmother’s house in OKC we always make these cookies. I love them and my family loves them!
