My Object is the Family sword, It belonged to my Great-great-great Grandfather. He was a Cossack (Apologies to any people of Jewish heritage who have mixed feelings on the Cossacks, I'm half Jewish too) he was of the Don region, and was Ataman (Elected leader) Twice. The Shashka (Shasqua) is a cavalry sword, used on horseback, and They emerged in the late 17th century. and have been the traditional saber in Russia since. This sword has been passed down for a few generations, and is now in Moscow, with my grandparents.

Place(s): Russia, especially Filonovo, a town in Russia, which was the main centre of Operations for the Don Cossacks.
