COLLARD GREEN POT
For years, this pot has been a landmark in my family home for the holidays. Usually, collard greens are cooked in this pot. Innocently, my grandfather started the "collard green pot tradition" about 15 years ago. Born in 1936, he grew up in the deep South and perfected the craft of collard green cooking; always adding the perfect amounts of spices. Whenever he'd make them, he'd always use this pot; no matter how big or small the bunch would be. Recently, he passed away. However-his legacy lives on in a multitude of ways-including this pot. This past Thanksgiving, we happily gathered together. At the center of our celebration was our beloved collard green pot, always a favorite.
