This is an old dollar coin that my grandfather gave me. The date it was minted (1923) is also the date that he was born. He came to Hawaii from Japan in his childhood with his siblings and his mother.  This item is very important to me because my grandfather cherished the coin for many years and eventually passed it on to me.
