Clay Pot

This is a clay pot and it represents my family. This clay pot was made by my great – grandmother, she lived a very poor and humble life. She had thirteen children and used to feed them all with this clay pot. Since she was poor, she would only make so much money and that amount would only allow her to fill a pot that size up with food. This pot has been passed down to one of her children which was my grandma. My grandma would always use that pot when we had family gatherings. Recently this pot my handed down to my mother which we always use for birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. This pot is important to my family because when my great – grandmother passed it down to my grandma, she brought it to the U.S. and that is how our family got into America. This pot showed how much the generations before me struggled to give their children a better life and has taught to not take things for granted and to be and live a humble life.
