In our family we have continued a tradition that will last for generations to come. My Father and step mother give my brother and I a Christmas Ornament on the morning of Christmas day.  After we have breakfast in the dining room we all get to open a christmas cracker and 1 gift.That Gift is a Christmas ornament. Each year we give and receive a new ornament to identify the christmas of that particular year.  These ornaments will be handed down to my children in the future with the story of what happened that christmas day. This is a tradition that my step mother had when she was young and her parents before that. 
This is a european tradition and my step mother's parents are from england and the czech republic. This tradition has been in the family for many generations. My brother and  I will continue it with my children as well.
