Mystical Roses
This is a Virgin Mary called Three Mystical Roses that was given to me by my mother when I was 4 years old and was getting ready to start my new life in the United States as I immigrated from the Dominican Republic. My mother said that it was given to her by a nun when she came to the United States and had to leave me behind because I had no visa. When she returned for me four years later, she brought it back and said that it had given her good luck on her journey, and she wished me the same on my journey. Today I keep this Virgin Mary in my room as a sign of hope and good luck, to me each of the three roses represent something different and I would like to better my life in three different aspects, first I want to have a higher education to help my mother out, second I want to remain having a kind heart to help other that are not as fortunate as I am and lastly I would like to broaden my horizons and excel in life by finding eternal happiness. This has a beautiful representation for me and I always see hope when I look at it, I plan on passing it down to next generations.
