This is the recipe for my Grandma in laws chocolate fudge recipe. She got the recipe from her mother who immigrated to the U.S. as a young girl with her family from Switzerland in 1907. Her mother used baking as a means to help provide for the family when they first arrived in the country. The fudge has been a staple at family gatherings. generations being passed from one generation to the next, with the special ingredient not being written down, and only being passed on orally.
