I am from China and I came here in 2009.  I have spent 10 years in New York City, but before I left China, my mother gave me this bracelet which is why it is so important to me.  It reminds me of China and my mother.  The two lions on the bracelet represent luck in China.  So I wear it to wish myself good luck, and also for my family and friends.
