Black Beans

When my mom was little in Mexico, she and her family had to eat  black beans with white rice all the time because they didn't have any money to go and get new types of food. I think it was easy for her family to get the black beans because you just have to boil it and add some ingredients like onions so it tastes good .In Mexico, it was hard for my mom because she always had to walk to school alone and her parents weren't mostly around with her and her siblings because of work or something important. Black beans really helped my mom in Mexico because that was just the easiest thing she and her family got to grow outside, except Friday because that's when  they go buy chicken and eat. Black beans, which in Spanish are called frijoles, are one of the major ingredients because some add it to burritos, tacos, soup, tortas, nachos, tostados, quesadillas, and stew. My mom still eats beans but also cooks them. My mom also cooks it for us too.
