Sage is what Native Americans burn to keep negative spirits away, my grandma told me that the first time I smudged. They would burn it in a shell called an Abalone Shell.Def. of smudging: The use of smudging is to heal. The smoke is used to bless, cleanse and heal the person or object being smudged.Sage is used to ‘wash off’ the outside world when one enters ceremony or other sacred space. Sage comes in different smells but it’s not like “Cotton candy” it’s more like nature scents like monkey grass, sweet grass, garden sage, giant white age. Sage is white and green.

My great- grandma, Betty. She loved owls, her house was filled with pictures and statues of owls. After she died we found a pair of earring in her room that I don't think she ever wore, the metal was still all brand-new and shiny. They were made of glass beads and beaded into owls. They were blue beads. I don’t know if she made the earrings or they were bought. She made a lot of stuff like earrings and blankets.
