As an American, family history is one of the major keys to remember the past and who we are. There are many important artifacts throughout my family history that remind me of my American self. The artifacts that I chose include an American flag that was on my great-grandfather’s casket on my grandfather's side(Top left) and my grandfather’s army suit (Bottom right). My great-grandfather was on the frontlines in Germany during World War Two and had to watch all of his friend’s suffer in the war as well. My grandfather worked in the barracks and prepared trucks, making sure that there were weapons on them. Not only did one of my great-grandfathers serve in World War Two, but my great-grandfather on my grandmother’s side also fought in World War Two, alongside with General Patton. Though objects might seem simple and of little importance, the story may be different for others.
