When I first came to the United States, I found a best friend, Chen-Yu. She is very cute and likes to surprise me. For my first birthday in New York, she gave me a memoir that she wrote as a birthday gift. This gift is very special because it tells the story of many moments we shared together. It also contains photographs of those happy times. I am a careless person, so there are some things I can’t remember. When she gave it to me, I was very surprised and touched by it. In the book, she wrote about our most important experiences together -- our first meeting; our first dates; our first travels; our first ice-skating adventure, etc. She helped me remember some moments I had forgotten. When we fight, I always look at this book, and think about our friendship, which matters more than a momentary disagreement. I will always keep and cherish this book.
