Wooden Skull
My artifact is a wooden skull. We put it on top of our christmas tree every year to remind us of our ancestors. My mother and father got it from outside Chichen Itza in Mexico. We put this on our tree as a symbolic artifact to remember our ancestors.
The tree is one of my favorite things about the tree. I chose it for the same reason I told you in the last sentence. My mother and father went to Mexico on their first vacation together and bought the skull from a person that said “almost free” walking on the sidewalk. This teaches that the skull shows remembrance of our family history. This is connected to everyone in my family.
If I was to ask one thing about this skull I would ask if it was a good symbol for them.
My final thought is that the skull is an important tradition to me.
