Wood Carved DOg
My great-grandfather was born poor in America and grew up with parents who suppressed their culture. So he grew up not knowing much about where he came from. He went through school trying to decide how to escape his lower class. He eventually found his love for wood. He practiced carving every day and eventually found a furniture firm. His income shot up as he flew through the ranks and eventually became a wood stain and wood furniture master. HENREDON is still around and still making furniture today. This reminded the entire family line of hard work and made my family what it is today. He is who I am named after, and having his name reminds me that if you put in the hard work, anything can be possible in America. Helping me and my family grow into a world full of opportunity and giving our family what we have today. My great-grandfather is a staple to my mother and reminds her every day of all the beautiful things she gets to enjoy due to his legacy.
