Though I was born in the US, my parents and brother immigrated from the Philippines to the US. In my early childhood, I would visit the Philippines very often, with the transition between difference countries for my family. There, I watched Winnie the Pooh with my cousins, and soon it became a staple in my family. When I was last in the Philippines, my cousins gave my family and I a Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal. I still have the toy and it remains an important part of my life and a connection to my heritage.
