Wedding Earrings
When it was my great grandparents two year anniversary of dating, my great grandfather got my great grandmother a pair of diamond earrings as an anniversary gift. After that year they decided they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. My great grandmother wore those earrings on her wedding day. They are silver diamond earrings. When she had my grandmother and she was going to get married, she decided to pass them down. After the wedding, they were passed down and lots of women on my mother's side of the family have worn them for their wedding day. In my culture, when you get married you have to wear something passed down. My grandmother, two aunts, and mother have worn them. When I get married, I will wear them and I will keep passing them down so the future generations will continue the tradition.
