This picture came from the Basilica of Higuey in the Dominican Republic. In my house, it’s used in front of the wall inside the house. It is a picture of “Our Lady of Altagracia” the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus. 
“Our Lady of Altagracia” is the protector of the people of the Dominican Republic. 
My grandfather, Juan Herrera Sanchez, gave this picture to me.
According to my grandfather, I was so sick without respiration as a teenager, and he bent his knee and asked the Virgin Altagracia to give me health. 
This image is significant to me because my grandfather gave to me in 1979.  He told me his promise to Lady Altagracia was successful.
My grandfather passed away a long time ago - God gives him salvation. I thank him for his help and support, and I thank the Virgin Mary Altagracia for curing me.
I always grateful, and for this reason I have faith. I could tell everyone how important it is to pray and wait patiently.
