Red Marble Ukrainian Necklace

It was the early 1980s in Ukraine that my mom and her family were still living in a smaller house. Living there was my mom(immigrated at 13), her brother(immigrated at 7), her mom(immigrated at around 30), her dad(around 30 as well), and her grandparents(later than my mom). Since this place was smaller, my mom would sleep on a couch by the kitchen. Later at night, my mom observed as she saw her grandma cook these delicious meals every night for the next day. My mom always saw her wearing this red marble necklace and always took interest in it. One night, my great grandma told my mom why this necklace was special, she had gotten it from her husband and she wore it everyday; it was like a wedding ring. My mom has had her heart set on it ever since and now she cooks my great grandma’s recipe’s all the time. My mom and her grandma were very close and of course loved eachother very much. A couple decades later after immigrating to America and having kids, my mom was beside my great grandma while she was dying and she gave my mom that red, special necklace, now my mother wears that necklace for many special occasions.
