In the year 1974 my Grandma come to the US. In search of a better life and job opportunity. When she came here she stayed in New York. My grandma was able to get here on a work Visa that her mom was able to get because she was a great factory worker. 
My grandma wanted to leave her home country of Peru because most of my family had gone to America due to the country going under due to political reasons. 
My grandma brought a lot of things over from Peru including an old Incan statue that she would later give to me later on in life.  
When my grandma got here, everyone was very welcoming to her and she had to work very hard in the factory she worked in. Later on she met my grandpa another immigrant from Peru and then a couple of years later she married him and had 3 daughters.
