Grandpa's Trench Coat

The object I chose is a brown leather trench coat my great grandpa used when he was working in factories in Florida. My great grandfather also used it as his normal everyday coat. The coat originated in the United States and was  kept in Florida until my great grandfather died, leaving it in my possession. I first learned about the coat when I had to move to Florida for legal reasons. The coat was hung up on a coat rack untouched by anyone for over a decade. This coat identified the struggles my great grandpa went through during his time at the factories. This object is very important to me as it is the only object I have of him left. This coat was the coat my grandfather used after he crushed his arm in a machine working at the factories. There is a bobby pin hole in the coat where he hung his arm sleeve, but the sleeve is not missing. My great grandfather's trench coat does not hold much of any historical value other than it being from the 1900s and it being used in the old factories, but it holds a lot of sentimental value to me. If the coat could talk I would want to ask it how life in the factories was.
