Having immigrated to the United States from India, my family still maintain aspects of our heritage and traditional culture. This photo is from my older sister's wedding, where we dressed in traditional wedding attire. While my sisters and I are a few generations removed from ever living in India, it was important to my family and my sister that she had a traditional Indian wedding as opposed to a more Americanized wedding.
