Track and Field Medals
For my family artifact I brought in three of my grandfather’s medals he won during one of his track meets. The are very small and square. They are made out of copper. The meet took place in Andover, Massachusetts. The town was celebrating its 300th anniversary of being a town, so it decided to hold a lot of events, and one of those being a track and field meet. Andover was just one of the towns competing in it, in the state of Massachusetts. This happened in 1946. My grandfather, Ray Feugill had his initials engraved on the medals and had won two running events and one field event. These medals mean a lot to my family because they were something special to my grandfather, that now has been given to my dad.
