Have you ever wished you had an edible spoon? Corn tortillas are just that. Tortillas are a type of bread. They're round and flat. It can be used to scoop up food on your plate or to make a taco. The tortilla was originated 10,000 years B.C. in Mexico. It’s a mexican tradition to have them along with your daily meal. The tradition spread across the country. My past ancestors are from Mexico. The tradition was passed down generations to generations. To this day my family makes tortillas for every meal. I will pass down this tradition to my kids and my grandkids in the future. It is important to my identity and my culture because it’s a piece of my past and it's a part who I am. I’m Mexican and I’m proud of it.
