Story pending

The images shown are artifacts from my uncle, who later passed away from cancer, that were passed down to me. The first image is his United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) graduation plaque, which is special to me because Top Gun is a very hard school to get into, and it shows my uncle's willpower and determination to become a Navy aviator. The second image is a badge of the fighter squadron he was assigned to. They are known as the “Black Knights,” and they specialize in close air support, air interdiction, and aerial reconnaissance. The third photo is a badge of the carrier he was on, which is called the USS Ranger (CV-61) and carried 70–90 aircraft over its time. The last image is a badge of the plane he flew: the Phantom II. The Phantom II is a long-range supersonic interceptor and fighter bomber. Its top speed is Mach 2.2 and it weighs around 18,000 pounds.
