Grandchild of im/migrant
The small cars above belonged to my grandfather. He made them during a few of his trips to the US. He then passed them down to my dad, who brought them to the US when he came as a child because of my grandfather’s work. At around the age of 5, my dad passed down the cars to me. I never played with them as a child because they have so much significance, plus they are made of super fragile, thin plastic. These little cars remind my family of, well, family. Sticking to traditions and always looking out for each other are what’s important to us.
