The Quran
My object is the Quran. It simply means the recitation. It is a holy book which Muslims believe is a revelation from God(Allah) to the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The Quran is written in Arabic. People who are Muslims often read the Quran because they recite it in the prayer. In Islam nobody can pray without the Quran. Muslims believe that Quran is the words of Allah and is written down in a book(Quran). The Quran started in the city of Makkah and Medina in Saudi Arabia. The Quran has writings in them that are called suras and ayahs(verses). Muslims often memorize it and they start teaching their children at a young age in order to finish and memorize the whole Quran when they get older. The readings in the Quran are very powerful and meaningful to people in similar faiths.
The Quran is very important to me because it allows us to practice our religion together ,pray together and love each other. In Eid (a special day to all Muslims)we often use the Quran to recite a prayer and then celebrate. When I am reciting the Quran it makes me feel that I am truly a Muslim girl. The Quran is like laws and rules to Muslims. My grandmother is the most representative of my cultural identity. My ancestors believe that if you don’t believe in the Quran then you are no longer a Muslim.
