The Pig - Salt shaker
In the 80’s or 90’s my great grandpa owned a restaurant in Germany. On every table there was a salt and pepper shaker that looked like pigs. When people wanted to make the street bigger they destroyed my grandpa’s restaurant. The pig salt and pepper shakers were given to friends and children.
Then when my great grandpa died, my grandpa was able to take many cups to Chemnitz, a small city in Germany, but all he wanted to bring was his mom and the pig salt and pepper shaker. So, all my grandpa took with him was this pig and then he gave it to my father. Someday it will be passed down to me. Even though the restaurant is gone, there is this pig salt and pepper shaker to remind us of where it was.
