The Chess Trophy. I’ve always loved playing games and am a very competitive person. A main part of my identity is placed in chess because chess is a thinking game. It was April of 2024 when my teacher had announced a chess tournament with a trophy and a plate of cookies for the winner. I played four grueling rounds of chess each lasting over 30 minutes. But besides that, it was fun, competitive, and interactive. The trophy itself is plastic but to me it shines of gold. It's a tall slim trophy, with blue and gold colors and has a gold king piece at the top. The trophy is something I can show to anyone and show my competitive drive and ability to win. It screams “Winner”. If i could speak to it, I’d say thank you for showing what a winner trophy looks like. But it makes me a proud person, people can see it and say, wow, you earned this! But it speaks to me and my family's mentality that we love to win and never give up.
