The generation ring
The ring of the generations in my family. Starting with my great grandmother who was given the ring on her bat mitzvah in 1934. This was 7 years before the holocaust had begun in Latvia. At the time when the war broke out she was a college student and they began to round up all the jews into ghettos and take away all their valuables, so she began to find ways of hiding it which made it though that horrible time. Then after the war she's had two daughters in Ukraine who grew and when it became the eldest 12th birthday came around the ring was passed to her (Aka my grandmother), then she passed it to her eldest daughter(my aunt), who later had moves to America with the win from Ukraine. So she had given me this present gold ring with an amazing oval ruby that stands for the greatness with in my families women.
