The bracelet
My father gave me a bracelet when I was a little kid. He came back from Mexico when he gave it to me. This bracelet is important to me because its something that he got me from his country. He recently became a citizen in the United States and so he went back to his country to see his mom and while he was there he got it for me. It was nice of him because he even made it with my name on it and at that time he didn't take much money over there to get stuff like this. It didn't fit when I got it so we put it away so I wont loose it and when I was 12 I recently found it. Ever since that day I never took it off its just something that I have from my dad. Yeah he gets me other things but this is something he got me when I was small and its important. Every time he goes to his country I have something from him which makes me feel better. Every time he leaves to see his family when there are problems I get upset but when I see the bracelet he got me I feel better. Every time he sees it he remembers and tells me the story of when he got it and laughs because my name was spelled and says that that's how they spell it over there. Tells me that it looks really nice on me and how it didn't fit when i was younger. This bracelet isn't important to just me but to him to because it brings him memories of that day. I will do the same for my kids in order for them to have something from their mom and it would have a story behind it just like my dads.
