Clan Colquhoun Tartan
Clan Colquhoun Tartan By: Sam McCowan The Clan Colquhoun Taran represents my family and how it traces back to my Scottish heritage. The tartan is associated with countries like Scotland and Ireland. A Clan Tartan is a part of every Scottish clan. All clans have tartans attributed to their name. The McCowan name is a part of the Colquhoun Clan. Clan Colquhoun had many strong chiefs, and therefore they had more allies than enemies there only real enemy was Clan MacGregor. The piece of Tartan belongs to my dad David McCowan. Back in the olden ages in Scotland and other countries men wore their kilts during time of wars. They did that to show pride and to know who their allies and enemies. Now Scottish men wear their Kilts to weddings.
