Tennis Racket
My object is the tennis racket that I came to Washington with and the only one that was originally mine that I had brought along with me. The tennis racket was bought and given to me by my dad, who had been playing tennis since he came to the US. Our tennis rackets are of the same “generation”, meaning the time or model of the racket. This key factor brings my dad and I together when we play, and even though I should have gotten a new one years ago, I insisted that it could not have been replaced. This signifies the importance of this to me, because it symbolizes the strength and power to continue and dedication to a sport even when I cross state borders permanently.
