This is what I chose and it is what the respective Salvadoran chicken tamales are.
This is a typical dish from my country that is highly appreciated because it is super delicious. They are eaten at any time of the year but more so at Christmas. When I was in my country, my family always cooked them for Christmas or a family reunion. There are many types of tamales, but for me the best are the chicken ones since there are those that are filled with beans. There are also corn tamales. Chicken tamales are made from cooked corn dough. The dough has tomato sauce so that it has flavor, it has chicken, potato, carrot and also chickpeas. What gives it a delicious flavor is where they are wrapped, since it is in a banana leaf. This reminds me of my country since I always ate them on the weekends accompanied by coffee. They taste delicious. My grandmother used to cook them when there was some activity and they tasted super delicious.
