Every christmas eve my mom makes tamales to eat with all the family.  They also make hot chocolate to drink with bread at night. My mom spends lots of time making the tamales the day before she makes the diner for the next day. My mother also makes salsa for the tamales she always makes green and red salsa and also sour cream on the side this comes from the hispanic culture.
