Have you ever tasted tamales? Tamales are one of the best mexican dishes in the Mexican culture. I learned how to make tamales from my mother who learned it from my grandmother and so on. Tamales are important to me because when I make tamales I spend more time with my mom. We spend the whole time talking while cooking, at the same time and I love the fact that when we spend time together we laugh and learn new thing about each other and what happened in her past and I love her stories. Tamales are part of my culture because that is what we have done and still do to this day to celebrate holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, 4th of July, etc. Also, on special occasions like birthdays or when someone in our family makes an accomplishment.
