Tallit
This tallit is very meaningful and important because using this special artifact is a tradition for my family. My great grandfathers’ tallit were passed down and used on special occasions to honor our Jewish heritage and tradition. When my parents were married, they were wrapped in this tallit and we continue to use it for important milestones. My sister was wrapped in it at her baby naming and our new family of four was wrapped in it by the rabbi who led my naming ceremony. This is an important Jewish tradition we practice at important family occasions to remember and honor where we came from. JW
