Sylvester and Munchkin

Sylvester

My object is something that I hold very dear to me. In late June, my mom found these two kittens outside in the Naselle forest. She rescued the two of them and soon brought them home. They were very frail, so I had to nurture them into a healthy weight. When I first had them, one was the runt. She barely weighed half of a pound. The other one was only two pounds, somewhat at a healthier weight than she was. The two were very attached to each other, and at first they did hate me. But slowly, they understood that I just wanted to help. I was the only human they liked, they wouldn't be around anyone else unless I was there.

Before I got both of these cats, my previous cat died from a coyote. These two kittens helped me through a really rough time in my life. I named them Munchkin and Sylvester. They are much healthier now, and somewhat less hostile towards others. Everyday I am thankful that they’ve helped me through one of the worst times in my life.
