Strength and Sacrifice
My dad came to the US at 17 years old. He came in search of work and a way to make a better living so he could send money to his family in Mexico. My dad then dated my mom and he came back and forth from the US to Mexico. He was saving money for the wedding. When my dad was 21, he married my mom. He brought her to the US. My dad worked multiple jobs one of them includes him being a cook at Carl's Jr. To this day he still works there. My dad has been working two jobs ever since he came to the US. My parents then had my brother and I. We went to Mexico together when I was 4 and my brother was 2. That was the last time they went, it was around the time 9/11 happened. My parents both work now. My parents have pushed my brother and I to get an education and to work in order to get through. I appreciate all their sacrifices in coming to a place they do not know. Because of them, I am where I am and I have he opportunity to get an education and work at places I love. I have been able to accomplish a lot that I know it was because of my parents and their dedication in pushing us to do better.
