My grandfather is from Ireland and he found his start early in New York City. Her worked hard early to earn his way up in the city and he eventually found himself very successful in law. He was able to provide a good catholic education for his children like a good Irish man. His legacy lives on and so do the streets.
My uncle also found his start early in New York City and now he’s head of shubert theatres in the city. He has found success by starting there like his father.
And now I, looking to my college years, might head to the city for college and beyond. I realize a city I thought would be so foreign at times is much more personal to me than I thought. This story makes me all the more appreciative of my past and my future, on the streets of New York City.
