Squirt's Pawprint.

Squirts Pawprint. (My parents dog)
Squirts Pawprint. (My parents dog)

My object is a clay or concrete imprint of my dog’s paw. It is of Squirt, who is a miniature Schnauzer. It is in good condition because we keep it clean and away from the elements. It is very rugged in Squirts paw marks and has little indentations. His paws were satisfying; they were like a rock that got chipped by the ocean, rough yet soft. My parents got Squirt in 2002-2003. They had gotten married recently before, and then my parents decided to move. I don’t know when my family originally came to America. My family came to Europe, more precisely German, Belgium, and five others that I don’t remember. But my parents and grandparents lived in America. My parents moved to Belgium and loved it there. Though Squirt and Pete, the other dog, got in a lot of trouble. Once they ran away for a day and barged into someone's house before being found. After a couple years in Belgium, my parents moved back to the United States and lived in Louisville. Then I was born, Yay. A year after I was born my parents moved to Seattle where we have been every year since. My dog died in 2018 when I was 5-6 years old. The doctors then let us keep the paw mark. My dog traveled the world from Indiana to Belgium to Seattle and loved every minute of it.

Place(s): Louisville, Belgium, Seattle.
